Assassin’s Creed Rogue has been officially revealed following this morning’s leak.

As detailed by Game Informer, the game, due to release on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on November 11, is set between the events of Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag and Assassin’s Creed 3 and will see players take up the role of Assassin-turned-Templar Shay Patrick Cormac as he navigates across the North Atlantic.

On your journey you’ll get to visit the Appalachian River Valley and New York, and discover more of the story behind the Kenway saga.

Ubisoft states that the game will be “the darkest entry in the Assassin’s Creed franchise yet”.

Development on Rogue is being led by Ubisoft Sofia in collaboration with Singapore, Montreal, Quebec, Chengdu, Milan and Bucharest. However, it has only been confirmed for release on Xbox 360 and PS3, suggesting it may not be in development for PC.

Additional details will be revealed in the latest issue of Game Informer due out later today, with the first official trailer rumoured to be revealed at 5pm BST tonight.
