Ubisoft has released a new gameplay trailer for its upcoming action-adventure game Assassin’s Creed: Origins. The trailer gives us our first look at the Order of the Ancients, the malevolent organisation who are Bayek’s enemies in Origins.

The Order of the Ancients are a mysterious group who are seeking to obtain the power of the ancient Gods of Egypt. The secretive organisation manipulate the Pharaoh from behind the scenes, pulling his strings like a puppet-master. Bayek and the Order of the Ancients have a dark past for some reason, and this history does not seem to be a particularly jovial period for the protagonist of Origins.

Even though the trailer states it’s gameplay, there doesn’t seem to be much actual gameplay going on. Just lots of sword swinging, landscape gazing, some lovely time-lapse shenanigans and pretty graphics… oh and masks, all of the masks. That aside, it looks like Origins is going to deliver quite the adventure epic when it comes out in late October.

Assassin’s Creed: Origins is out on October 27 for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
