Do you ever get tired when playing games? Ubisoft has you in mind with its latest promotion and has partnered with energy drink company Monster to ‘power up’ your experience in Assassin’s Creed Origins. Gamers will soon get the chance to be fully embedded in the Ancient Egyptian experience by buying an energy drink and rubbing their face in sand at the same time.
Buying a single can will give you an in-game resource or currency pack, whilst a multipack of four unlocks a unique weapon, none of which have ‘Monster’ anywhere in their name. You are, however, also in with a chance of getting a console, copy of the game or, most thrilling of all, ‘exclusive Monster Energy apparel.’
The Grand Place prize is an all-expenses paid tour of Ubisoft Montreal for you and a mate. But you have to live in Canada or North America to win that, which is a bummer.
The downside, of course, is that you have to drink a lot of Monster to win anything. If you’d like to join in the soiree of anti-dentist shenanigans, you’ll be able to from October 1 when the cans start appearing, until the end of 2017 when they start disappearing like bodies in a bale of hay. This partnership is almost as synergistic as whenever Mountain Dew do anything with Xbox.
Assassin’s Creed Origins is out October 27 on PC, Xbox One, PS4.
