Assassin's Creed Odyssey has debuted in second place on the UK All Format Chart, though physical sales of the epic Greek adventure are down 25% over its 2017 predecessor (via GI.biz).

The news isn't as bad as it seems though. Digital sales are not taken into account by Chart-Track, so it's likely Odyssey has flogged a fair amount of copies via download. Regardless, the game didn't sell quite enough at retail to match FIFA 19, which remains in first place.

Other new entries meanwhile include Forza Horizon 4 and Super Mario Party, which entered the charts in third and fifth place, respectively. Sega's Fist of the North Star: Lose Paradise bruised the charts at number 21.

Forza Horizon 4 is also now the fastest-selling game in the franchise to date in the UK, and also contributed to a spike in Xbox Game Pass subscriptions.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey easily ranks as one of the best instalments in the long-running stabby series, so be sure to snap it up sharpish.
