Update: The official packshots for Assassin’s Creed III have now been revealed.
Original story: Assassin’s Creed 3 will be set during the American Revolution, artwork supplied to Kotaku by a Best Buy worker appears to reveal.
The promotional artwork comes from the Best Buy employee news section and if legitimate shows the Continental flag with the pictured assassin wearing an 18th century military jacket. Our unnamed protagonist is also equipped with a range of weaponry, including a tomahawk, bow and arrow, and a pistol – possibly a Flintlock.
The Best Buy leak also revels that Ubisoft will officially unveil the game on March 5.
Earlier this month Ubisoft confirmed an October 30 release date.
