Assassin’s Creed has strong future at Ubisoft

Speaking during a conference call (picked up by Kotaku), Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot has revealed that the Assassin’s Creed brand will be around for “years to come”.

The news comes as no great surprise, with the first game having now sold over six million units worldwide and still selling well. The success of the title has come as somewhat of a surprise for Ubisoft though, stating its performance has been “better-than-expected”.

Assassin’s Creed has more recently launched on PC and DS, which joined last year’s Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions. You can read what we thought of the game over on the Assassin’s Creed game page.
