The range of DLC announced earlier this week for Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag will not be available on Wii U, Ubisoft has confirmed to VideoGamer.com.
First reported by GameReactor and Kotaku, the news means that Wii U owners will be forced to miss out on all of the game’s post-release content, including single-player expansion pack Freedom Cry and additional multiplayer characters.
The DLC will be available on every other format, including PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.
It also follows confirmation that the Wii U version of Assassin’s Creed 4 will not be available on day one. Instead, Wii U owners will have to wait until November 22 to get their hands on this year’s swashbuckling adventure.
Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag launches on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on November 1, with Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Wii U and PC versions following on November 22.
