Swashbuckling action-adventure game Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag has been added to the Xbox One backwards compatibility lineup, Microsoft has announced. It’s an odd choice, considering the game is readily available on Xbox One and looks better for it, but hey, who are we to argue?

Black Flag was released in 2013 and is one of the better entries in Ubisoft’s sprawling stealth franchise, taking place during the Golden Age of Piracy during the early 1700s. You play as Edward Kenway, a dashing Welsh pirate who gets embroiled in the whole Assassins vs Templar war while brushing shoulders with historical figures including Mary Reed and Blackbeard.

Also joining the Xbox One backwards compatibility lineup is Divinity 2: The Dragon Knight Saga, which originally released on Xbox 360 back in 2009 as Divinity 2: Ego Draconis. This updated version includes the expansion Flames of Vengeance and is based on the 2011 remastered edition of the game.

As always, anyone who owns a copy of the above games can simply pop the disc into their Xbox One and start playing, or download them to the system if you have a digital version. Failing that, you can simply grab them from the Xbox Store.
