Assassin’s Creed 3’s first downloadable content pack is available to download now for Season Pass owners on Xbox 360 and PC, and later today on PlayStation 3.

‘The Hidden Secrets’ includes three new single-player missions: the Lost Mayan Ruins, the Ghost of War and a Dangerous Secret, which Ubisoft says adds an “additional hour of gameplay”.

Each mission will also reward players with additional weapons, although it isn’t clear whether these are new weapons exclusive to the pack.

In addition, The Hidden Secrets contains the ‘Captain of the Aquila uniform’ and the ‘traditional Colonial Assassin outfit’ for use in the game’s single-player, and two new multiplayer characters: the Redcoat and the Sharpshooter.

Non-Season Pass holders will be able to purchase the pack on Xbox LIVE Marketplace and PC next Tuesday, December 11, and on PlayStation Store next Thursday, December 13.

It will also be available on Wii U “at a later date”.

A price for the standalone pack has yet to be announced by Ubisoft, but given the savings promised by the Season Pass, expect it to cost around 640 Microsoft Points/£6.

It’s also worth noting that this isn’t the evil George Washington pack announced previously by Ubisoft. ‘The Tyranny of King Washington’ DLC, along with packs featuring additional multiplayer maps, have yet to be dated.
