Tesco and Sainsbury’s have both tended to be the cheapest for new releases in recent weeks, but will history repeat itself for Assassin’s Creed III? VideoGamer.com has rounded up a list of confirmed high street and supermarket prices below.
Of the prices confirmed so far, Sainsbury’s appears to be offering the game cheapest, asking £38.99 for the Standard Edition. HMV, however, is running a trade-in promotion offering the game for free when you trade in two selected titles (titles still TBC).

- GAME – £39.99 (Standard Edition), £44.99 (Special Edition containing an exclusive single-player mission and exclusive weapon), plus 33% extra trade-in credit on titles traded towards Assassin’s Creed III. Additional 400 Microsoft Points free with Xbox 360 purchase. It’s currently unconfirmed whether PS3 buyers will receive a similar bonus.
