Publisher Untold Stories has announced that 2D platformer Aspire: Ina’s Tale has been given a release date of December 17.

The game puts you in the recently-awoken shoes of Ina. She’s had a rather long nap as the prisoner of a cruel Tower that feeds off the dreams of its victims. Somehow, you wake up, which sets you off on a mission to escape the Tower and find freedom but also the reason you were imprisoned in the first place.

Given the Tower has been feeding on your dreams while you’ve been asleep, that’s been shaping the world you find yourself in. The game promises to offer a mystical side scrolling adventure with “beautiful sprawling” levels. Each of these levels has its own feel and specific quirks that make them unique.

You’ll also get to learn about the other prisoners of the tower on your search for answers. This will see you uncovering their past, memories and more and you’ll have to set them free too. Ina has the power to control spirits too, which you’ll use to manipulate the environment and solve puzzles.
