Embark has released Arc Raiders update 1.12.0. Although the patch notes are brief, they include several important fixes, most notably finally addressing the Stella Montis out-of-bounds map exploit that has been driving players crazy.
Stella Montis is one of the five maps currently available in Arc Raiders, and it is the only map added post-launch following the game’s release on October 30, 2025. Embark has teased the addition of more new maps as part of its 2026 roadmap plans, but we currently only have Stella Montis, Dam Battlegrounds, Spaceport, Buried City, and The Blue Gate.
In response to streamers such as Shroud complaining about a growing problem with cheaters, Embark promised “significant changes”. This included fixing the out-of-bounds exploit on Stella Montis, and the developer has now delivered through update 1.12.0.
According to the patch notes, Embark has “fixed various out-of-bounds map locations on Stella Montis”. The exploit was a bug that allowed players to easily exit the map’s geometry by clipping through walls. This enabled exploiters to kill unsuspecting players, as highlighted in the video below from YouTuber Everything Glitches.
Hopefully, the Stella Montis out-of-bounds exploit is truly fixed, as it’s an issue fans have rightfully complained about since November. There have been numerous posts criticizing the exploit on the game’s official subreddit, including calls in November for the map to be disabled until the issue was resolved.
Arc Raiders update 1.12.0 patch notes
Below are the patch notes for Arc Raiders update 1.12.0:
- Fixed an item duplication exploit.
- Fixed an ammo duplication exploit.
- Fixed some cases where players were able to damage others from behind geometry.
- Fixed various out-of-bounds map locations on Stella Montis.
Arc Raiders is now in its first full year of post-launch support, so it will be interesting to see how Embark builds on the game’s momentum following 12 million sales since October 2025. The developer has teased “ambitious” plans for the year ahead and has revealed that the team has a “good appetite” for adding a social space similar to Destiny 2’s Tower in the future.
Embark was able to maintain over 90% of the game’s all-time peak player count throughout 2025, and the game’s player base on Steam still remains healthy, with close to 400,000 concurrent players during weekends.
Fixing the Stella Montis out-of-bounds exploit is a major relief, and hopefully, it has been fully resolved so we can enjoy the map without exploiters ruining the experience.
