Arc Raiders is one of the biggest success stories among games released in 2025. Despite launching on October 30 last year, Embark’s PvPvE multiplayer shooter has reportedly surpassed 12 million copies sold, according to Alinea Analytics’ Head of Market Analysis, Rhys Elliott.
Elliott reports that Arc Raiders had sold a total of 12 million copies across Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S as of January 4, 2026, extracting 1.2 million copies after December 21, 2025. He also states that 7 million copies were sold on Steam alone, accounting for roughly 58% of the game’s total sales.
Elliott further estimates that Arc Raiders has generated more than $350 million in total revenue. January 4 also reportedly marked the game’s highest daily active user count to date, with a combined 3.2 million players across PC, PlayStation, and Xbox.
Beyond raw sales figures, Arc Raiders was recently confirmed as one of Steam’s 12 best-selling games of 2025. Player retention has also remained exceptionally strong, with Embark retaining roughly 90% of the game’s all-time peak player count, whereas the player base for other major multiplayer shooters, such as Battlefield 6, has declined by more than 80%.
Arc Raiders’ popularity is no secret within the video games industry, but it’s also apparent to Hollywood. Embark’s CEO has confirmed that the studio has received offers to adapt Arc Raiders into a movie or television series. While the CEO believes that the IP “fits quite well” with either format, no adaptation is currently in development.
Looking ahead, Embark has described Arc Raiders as a “10-year project” and has teased ambitious plans for 2026. While details on the game’s first full year remain limited, you can currently claim 1,000 free Tokens until January 13 as a thank-you gift from the developer.
