Apex Legends developer Respawn has launched a fresh update for its massively popular battle royale title, and it's mostly focussed on weapon balancing.

First up, the Caustic and Gibraltar have been tweaked, with both items receiving a new Fortified Passive Perk that reduces damage by 10%. The Gibraltar has also seen its gun shield health buffed from 50 to 75.

In terms of weapon balances, there’s a lot to take in, so you should probably have a gander at the patch notes. A couple of noteworthy changes include the Longbow DMR, which has had its fire rate and magazine size increased, while the Spitfire has seen its base damage and magazine extender attachments nerfed.

Apex Legends launched for PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One back in February, and notched up an impressive 50 million players in just one month.

A Nintendo Switch version of the game has not been ruled out, although Respawn hasn't got any firm plans in place just yet.
