Respawn Entertainment has unveiled the first Limited Time Event coming to popular battle royale Apex Legends, as well as offering a glimpse as to what players can expect from the upcoming second season of its Battle Pass content.
Detailed in a post on the Apex Legends website, The Legendary Hunt will last for two weeks, and adds an Apex Elite Queue, where the Top 5 in a match get put into a queue with other players who finish in the Top 5. To remain in this queue, players must continue to place in the top five. There'll also be unique skins offered in the shop and challenges offering more unique skins and rewards throughout the duration of the event.
Furthermore, Respawn also offered the first details on Season Two, confirming daily and weekly challenges. In response to criticism of the first season of the Battle Pass, progression is set to be much faster with the time to level 100 being 'significantly reduced'.
There'll be three new Legendary items added to the Battle Pass tiers, meaning one Legendary every 25 levels. Badge and stat trackers are also being removed, to be replaced by a single, evolving seasonal badge and three 'new content categories'. Details on what these new categories are being kept under wraps for now, but more detail has been promised at next week's EA Play event during E3.
Group up and stay low, the hunt is about to begin. Get your first look at:
