The NPD Group has announced that Anthem was the best-selling video game in North America last month.

Despite its developer, BioWare, admitting that the game's launch was rougher than expected, Anthem still managed to fend off the competition during February, becoming the second highest-selling game of the year so far. In first place? Kingdom Hearts 3.

Far Cry New Dawn and Metro Exodus managed fourth and eighth place, respectively, although Crackdown 3 couldn't even make a dent in the top 20. Yes, it's on Xbox Game Pass too, but still, a disappointing performance for what is a major exclusive release for Microsoft's system.

Over on the hardware front, Nintendo Switch ruled the roost last month, with the Big N recording its best dollar sales for the month of February in eight years.
