BioWare's Casey Hudson has revealed that Anthem will still allow you to play solo if you're not feeling particularly social.

While the upcoming shared-universe behemoth places a major emphasis on multiplayer — you can team up with other players and complete objectives together in Anthem's sprawling open-world, much like Destiny — Hudson said you can experience the action solo if you desire.

Speaking in a new blog post, the BioWare head honcho said that he's aware of players who are concerned about being forced into a multiplayer environment and are not all that keen on teaming up with random players.

'We think it creates a unique experience where you have control over your own story, but your story is set in an ever-changing multiplayer world,' said Hudson. 'And yes, even though Anthem is meant to bring out the best parts of playing as part of an online community, you can choose to play through the story with only your friends, or even on your own.'

Anthem is due to ship for PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One in March 2019, having previously been scheduled to arrive in fall of this year. Publisher Electronic Arts has confirmed the game will be strutting its stuff at E3 in June, so expect more details soon.
