Anno 1701 is the third instalment in the multi-million selling empire building franchise from Sunflowers. The game has been developed with the aid of community input, with every aspect of the game having been analysed and improved by real gamers.

Set during the 16th and 17th centuries, players embark on the adventure of a lifetime, setting out to discover new continents and foreign cultures. Once you discover a new land it’s down to you as to how you go about managing or creating a civilization, but be sure to treat its people well – do so and you will be cheered, but likewise, treat them badly and expect retaliation.

Sunflowers promises extremely life-like graphics with realistically modelled flora, fauna and natural disasters, all helping to bring your civilizations to life. The game also has support for up to four players, so you can colonise the same game world simultaneously over lan or the internet.

Anno 1701 is scheduled for a UK release at the end of October and will be distributed by Koch Media under the Deep Silver label.
