Rovio Mobile has announced that Angry Birds has been downloaded over 200 million times.
The staggering figure includes Angry Birds, Angry Birds: Seasons and Angry Birds: Rio across a range of platforms including PlayStation 3, PSP, PC, Android and of course iOS.
In addition to this, the merchandise line – which includes plush toys and t-shirts – has racked up over three million sales.
“The growing numbers of fans give us more incentive to keep creating more fresh, fun and engaging Angry Birds experiences and making them available to everyone.” said CEO Mikael Hed.
A television series and film based on the popular puzzle game are also in the works.
Rovio Mobile is said to be hard at work on a social game building off the Angry Birds brand.
