The Angry Birds games clock 200 million active players each month, Rovio executive vice president Andrew Stalbow told an audience at the MIPCOM conference in Cannes.

Earlier this year Rovio said its Angry Birds games have accumulated over one billion downloads.

“In any given day, we have 20-30m people playing our games connected. And in any given month we have up to 200m people playing our games,” Stalbow said (via The Guardian).

Social gaming juggernaut Zynga reports an active monthly user base of 306 million.

Rovio’s latest entry in the Angry Birds franchise – Angry Birds Star Wars – will be released November 8.
