The extremely popular mobile game Angry Birds is set to hit Chrome browsers, according to Rovio head Peter Vesterbacka.
At the Google I/O conference Vesterbacka demonstrated the game on its new platform, stating “We haven’t been able to bring this to the web. It hasn’t been possible until today. We are bringing Angry Birds to the biggest platform out there, the web.”
The game will feature levels specific to the Chrome browser with elements like Chrome rocks, flowers, and clouds.
Google’s new in-app payment system will be used to allow users to get to premium levels, while the company will allow developers to keep 95% of all sales.
The game will be hosted on Google’s app engine and currently is available in Beta on Google’s Chrome web store.
For the three people in Guam who don’t own modern telephones and haven’t played this game, this online app is for you! Now to get those pesky Firefox users onto Chrome.
