GamesIndustry.biz reports that Rockstar Games’ GTA 4: The Lost and Damned DLC for Xbox 360 has sold one million units so far, according to analyst Michael Pachter. This figure is expected to reach two million by the year end.
Regarding the second of the Xbox 360’s exclusive DLC episodes, Pachter believes it is likely to arrive by November 2009, while the next console instalment in the franchise will be in stores before the end of 2010.
With the predicted rise in home console install bases, Pachter estimates sales of the game will far eclipse those of GTA 4.
“We don’t think it is reasonable to estimate that sales of GTA will double the prior version, but we think that a 25 – 30 per cent penetration is reasonable, suggesting 15 – 18 million units sold,” said Pachter.
