Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs, the horror sequel from thechineseroom and Frictional which was originally set to launch for Halloween 2012 but slipped into Q2 2013, will now be released later this summer.

“We know we will not make Q2, we also know when the game will be ready for launch,” said co-developer Frictional on its forums. “We have not set the exact day yet. You can however make good use of the weather outside this summer and look forward to gaming with the piggies as the summer comes to an end.”

Frictional made reference to wise words from Mario creator Shigeru Miyamoto: “A delayed game is eventually good, but a rushed game is forever bad.”

Let’s hope the game does make it to digital stores this summer.
