Amazon.co.uk has introduced a new promotion offering free release day delivery on products across its Video Games store.
The promotion is valid on orders placed from now until December 31, 2013, and does away with the first class delivery option typically required to guarantee release day delivery.
Amazon.co.uk previously charged around £2 for first class delivery on video game software, which was required to guarantee delivery on release date.
Customers who have previously ordered titles due for release later this year will have the cost of first class delivery automatically removed from their order, Amazon says.
The move brings Amazon inline with other retailers in the market, such as GAME and ShopTo.net, which offer free delivery on products.
