Amazon has informed customers that its exclusive Batman: Arkham Knight Limited Edition – which includes The Gotham Knight statue – has been delayed and could now arrive as late as July 14.
An Amazon customer email obtained by VideoGamer reads:
“We wanted to let you know that Batman Arkham Knight – Amazon.co.uk Exclusive Limited Edition (Xbox One), from your order will be delayed as the manufacturer has advised us that there’s been a packaging quality issue.
“We want to ensure that your order reaches you in pristine condition and your item, with the updated packaging, should be with you no later than 14 July, 2015.”
We’ve also seen the same message sent to PS4 customers.
To compensate for the delay Amazon will be sending download codes to affected customers so they will be able to download and play the game on release.
The delay will be disappointing, but after the cancellation of the Batmobile Edition, fans will at least be pleased to hear this other limited edition hasn’t also been canned.
Batman: Arkham Knight launches on Tuesday. It appears that Amazon is still taking orders for the Limited Edition set.
