All PlayStation 4 games (except those that require the console’s PS4 Eye) will be required to support Vita Remote Play, according to a new Digital Foundry report.

The initiative means that owners of both consoles will be able to stream every PS4 game they own directly to their Vita via a local network, and continue to play without the need for a TV.

The technology is similar to the ‘Off-TV Play’ functionality of the Wii U.

Both PSP and PS Vita include support for PS3 Remote Play, but support for the technology is not currently a requirement.

Sony announced PS4’s Vita Remote Play during the console’s announcement back in February, but it wasn’t clear whether support would be mandatory for developers.

PS4 is due to go on sale later this year.
