Aliens: Colonial Marines, which was developed at multiple studios and over many years, shipped only 1.31 million copies as of March 31, 2013, SEGA has announced.

The big budget licensed game was out-shipped by SEGA’s Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed, which managed 1.36 million units, but did launch on three more platforms than Aliens.

Elsewhere, Football Manager 2013 shipped 940,000 units, whilst London 2012 performed modestly with 640,000 units.

There’s encouraging signs for Wii U owners, with SEGA revealing it plans to ship seven titles for Wii U in the year ending March 31, 2014.
