Creative Assembly, the studio behind the fantastic Alien: Isolation as well as Halo Wars 2, is currently in the market for artists and designers to help with the development of a new IP.

On the developer’s careers page there are three roles advertised – lead technical artist, senior meta game designer, and lead systems designer – that are focused on this new, unannounced title.

As lead technical artist ‘you will have significant experience of leading, mentoring and nurturing the developing other artists.’ On top of that, this person will be put in charge of ‘enhancing visual quality, performance, and art efficiency’ of this as-of-yet unknown game.

Looking after economy, progression, leaderboards, events and the like is the senior meta game designer. The goal for whoever fills this space is to ‘deliver an effective and engaging game meta that unites with the core game experience.’

That aforementioned core game experience, and more specifically the systems, is the responsibility of the lead systems designer, who will be looking after ‘weapons, movement, abilities, gadgets, health and other underlying gameplay systems.’

Some of the above sounds a bit RPG-y, but at the same time we can’t take much from these job descriptions other than Creative Assembly is in fact making a new game, which is nice.
