Newsweek has learned that Activision and Harmonix have tied up Aerosmith to appear exclusively in Guitar Hero titles, including the band’s likeness and catalogue.
“I can say that we do have the band exclusively, and their catalogue should be exclusive to us beyond the one or two tracks they had licensed out to Rock Band before we made our deal,” Tim Riley, Activision’s vice president of music affairs told Newsweek.
Guitar Hero Aerosmith is scheduled for release in June for Xbox 360, PS3, Wii and PS2.
