Activision has backtracked on a comment made yesterday which suggested Call of Duty Elite might never launch for PC.

Speaking yesterday on Twitter the publisher said: “We are working towards a universal Elite experience but we cannot guarantee if or when a version will be available for the PC.”

However, a new post today moved to retract this statement: “”We misspoke. Our goal has always been to provide a free PC offering for Elite.

“Stay tuned for an update as timing is still being determined.”

Not that PC gamers are currently missing out on much, with Elite suffering problems since Modern Warfare 3 launched on November 8.
