Activision has confirmed that it intends to support Guitar Hero III with downloadable song packs beginning in November for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Gamers will have the choice of three packs, each containing three songs.

Activision appears to be sticking with the three songs per pack policy which it started with downloadable content for Guitar Hero II. No pricing information has been confirmed for the GHIII DLC, but you can expect a price inline with previous content – 500 Microsoft Points.

Guitar Hero III is scheduled for release across Europe for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii and PlayStation 2 on November 23.
