Action Henk will release on Xbox One on Friday, March 4 and PS4 on Tuesday, March 8, Curve Digital has announced.

The speed-running platformer lost out to Broforce in the latest PlayStation Plus Vote To Play, meaning it will launch on the platform one week after Devolver’s side-scrolling shooter lands. Both PS4 and Xbox One versions of Action Henk will launch with a 30% discount for the first two weeks, however, taking the price down from £11.99 to around £8.39.

Developed by Ragesquid, Action Henk sees players running, jumping and buttsliding across various environments to set the fastest time in single-player challenges and local 4-player multiplayer, and is described by Curve as ‘Toy Story meets Trials’.

“Action Henk exemplifies the ‘just one more go’ twitch gameplay,” said Curve Digital’s publishing director Simon Byron. “A sense of speed and the joy of butt-sliding combine to make this one of the most exhilarating platformers around. The new multiplayer mode is a truly brilliant addition to the single-player campaign – I can’t wait to see console players setting new records.”

Release dates for the Wii U, PS3 and PS Vita versions have yet to be confirmed, but don’t panic: the three versions are still in development, Curve told us last month.
