Bandai Namco Games' Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown has debuted in second place on the UK All Format Chart, shifting a massive 76% of all copies on PlayStation 4.

While it couldn't sell enough to dethrone New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe, Ace Combat 7 still managed to give the franchise its biggest UK launch to date. Hopefully it also helped shift a few more PlayStation VRs too, as it's compatible with Sony's headset.

Ace Combat has been around the block a few times, having debuted on the PSOne back in 1995. It's also the first entry in the series since 2014, so perhaps that's why this one did so well.

Other than that it was a pretty dull week, although that'll change soon enough when Resident Evil 2 and Kingdom Hearts 3 rock up.

Check out the Top 10 below.

  1. New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe
  2. Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown
