Medieval rat-'em-up A Plague Tale: Innocence has received eight minutes of uncut, rodent-infested gameplay footage for your viewing pleasure.

If you haven't been keeping up with Asobo Studio's upcoming grisly adventure game, A Plague Tale sees gamers guiding siblings Amicia and Hugo through war-torn France, avoiding members of the Inquisition and flesh-hungry rats that swarm the scarred, corpse-ridden landscape.

A Plague Tale requires you to carefully avoid confrontations by utilising the environment and stealth to your advantage. For example, fire is one of the best weapons you have to fend off the hordes of swarming rodents hunting you down.

Focus Home Interactive will publish A Plague Tale: Innocence for PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One on May 14.
