Samsung has announced the Galaxy Tab S9 Series, and it looks like it could be a desirable gaming companion. Specs worthy of note include the ultra-fast Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 with a 120Hz refresh rate.
It’s definitely following a trend on tech hardware releases this year. The release of the ASUS ROG Ally and fresh rumours for a potential Switch 2 suggest strides towards more portable gaming devices. Samsung’s announcement of the Galaxy S9 Series follows this trend, though of course, the broader emphasis is on creativity and productivity.
Featuring a dynamic OLED 2x display and IP68 rating for the first time, the S9 Series has levelled up in a few key areas from previous generations. A special new feature that grabbed our attention is Multi Control, which allows Samsung users to copy, paste and drag images to compatible Samsung devices. Those hoping for a more advanced drawing and writing experience are in luck with the new optional S Pen Creator Edition.
Now available for pre-order, the Tab S9 will start from $799. A price definitely not for the faint-hearted. It does mean that previous gen tablets have received some discounts.
