343 Industries has warned fans that any website claiming to be giving away access to the Halo 4 beta is a fake.
“If you see a page claiming to allow you to sign up for a Halo 4 beta be advised, IT’S A FAKE,” warned 343’s David Ellis on Twitter.
Microsoft hasn’t announced any beta details for Halo 4. The game was revealed at E3 2011 last June and is scheduled for release by the end of 2012 on Xbox 360.
Previous beta tests for Halo titles came with retail versions of other Xbox 360 titles. Halo 3 beta access was granted to people who bought Crackdown, while Halo Reach beta access was given to anyone who bought Halo: ODST. If the same system is in place for the Halo 4 beta (providing there will be one), what game will it be? Perhaps Fable: The Journey?
