Next month’s release of BioShock 2 on PC will feature a scaled back implementation of DRM, publisher 2K Games has said.
Posting on the game’s official website, community manager Elizabeth Tobey revealed that the game will feature no SecuROM install limits for either retail or digital editions. SecuROM will only be used to verify the game’s executable and check the date.
The game will use standard Games for Windows Live non-SSA guidelines, which means it will come with 15 activations – these can be reset by calling Microsoft.
BioShock 2 is scheduled for release on February 9 for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
