2K games secure rights to The Da Vinci Code

The game based on the film, which is in turn based on the book, will be developed by The Collective, a division of Foundation 9 Entertainment. The film, directed by Ron Howard is expected to be released in May 2006 and the game should be on store shelves around the same time.

Charles Cecil, the designer of Broken Sword, is joining the development team at The Collective and will aid in the game’s design. Gameplay in The Da Vinci Code will feature “action-oriented suspense” that should please seasoned gamers and fans of the novel.
