SEGA has today announced that Virtua Tennis 3 for the Xbox 360 will ship with native 1080p support, offering those with compatible equipment improved levels of detail with no loss in the game’s fluid motion.

SEGA has also fully unveiled the game’s online modes, with Xbox 360 gamers able to take part in Ranked and Friendly matches, enter Exhibition games or Tournaments in both singles and doubles matches all over Xbox Live.

A new mode called VT:TV will enable real-time spectators to watch matches that are taking place on Xbox Live. Watch your mates thrash it out or take a peek at what the best players in the game are up to.

Virtua Tennis 3 on Xbox 360 is definitely the next generation of tennis,” commented Matt Woodley, Creative Director of SEGA. “We’re striving to create games which not only have great gameplay but also can make the very most of the Xbox 360’s amazing technology.

Virtua Tennis 3 is scheduled for release in March 2007 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC and PSP.
