Niantic has issued updates to Pokemon GO on both iOS (1.1.0) and Android (0.31.0) which amongst a range of fixes also shuts down third-party maps.

The weekend update removed the footprints of nearby Pokemon and in the process killed a host of support apps and websites such as PokeVision.

With developer Niantic seemingly keen to keep all Pokemon action limited to its app, players are hitting back by requesting refunds on the in-game items purchased. A reddit thread on the subject is growing rapidly and is just one example of the anger the game’s former champions are feeling.

Trainer avatars can now be re-customized from the profile screen

– Adjusted some Pokémon battle move damage values

– Refined certain Gym animations

– Improved memory issues

– Removed footprints of nearby Pokémon

– Adjusted battle damage calculation

Android

Trainers, Pokémon GO has been updated to version 0.31.0:
