- Use the weapon along with the Brake muzzle, Stabilizing barrel, Angled front rail, Quick magazine, and Quick Draw rear grip.
- My build focuses on recoil and stability buffs at the cost of movement and sprint-shoot time.
The ACR 6.8 is quickly becoming the assault rifle of choice for many players in Ubisoft’s free-to-play shooter. Its low TTK (time to kill) and high damage mean that it’s worth working towards to further boost its enviable starting stats and make up for its few cons. Unlock it by getting 10 Longshot kills with an Assault Rifle from a distance of over 30 meters. After some serious time testing various builds, here are our best attachment picks to to dish out even more punishment as you capture objectives.
Our best ACR 6.8 loadout
Our ACR 6.8 loadout focuses on improving recoil control at the cost of some movement. We think this tradeoff is worth it, especially since the ACR 6.8 excels in mid-range combat. These attachments make an impact where it matters, transforming it into a game-winning firearm that chews through enemy teams.
Attachment type | Chosen attachment | Description | How to unlock |
---|---|---|---|
Muzzle | Brake | +7% horizontal recoil control, -5% short and medium range | Level 23 |
Barrel | Stabilizing | +2.5% horizontal and vertical recoil control, -5% sprint-shoot time and ADS walking speed | Level 9 |
Front Rail | Angled | +15% ADS stability, +5% horizontal recoil control, -5% movement speed | Level 10 |
Magazine | Quick Mag | +5 magazine size, +15% reload speed | Level 11 |
Rear Grip | Quick Draw | +10% sprint-shoot time and ADS speed, -15% ADS stability | Level 34 |
Secondary Weapon | M9 | A reliable sidearm | NA |
Device | Frag Grenade | A lethal grenade | NA |
Start with the muzzle Brake as it buffs horizontal recoil control at the cost of some range. Supplement it with the Stabilizing barrel to further buff recoil control. You lose out on some sprint-shoot time and ADS walking speed here but that’s fixed with the Quick Draw grip, which boosts two stats while lowering ADS stability.
The Angled grip attached to the front rail balances this out with a buff to stability and recoil control with a minor hit to movement speed. Finally, pick the Quick Mag or the Fast Mag to improve the speed of your reloads. While the range and mobility drop might sound rough on paper, it doesn’t make as much of a difference as improved recoil control during a tense firefight. The M9 might not pack much of a punch but it’s a reliable alternative when you run out of ammo or if you’re caught mid-reload.
If you really want some optics, you can trade the magazine for a Reflex sight.
The ACR 6.8 handily earns a spot in our best loadouts list. This build will help you take out opponents at close to medium ranges, even if they have assault rifles like the M4A1 or an SMG/shotgun. As for long-range targets, you’ll need to get close unless you want to be outmatched by sniper rifles and marksman rifles. With the right attachments, the ACR 6.8 becomes the perfect choice irrespective of game modes thanks to its balance of fire rate, accuracy, and damage.
