Fortnite OG mode is an exciting return to the origins of Epic Games’ legendary battle royale. This nostalgic mode recreates the charm of Chapter 1, including familiar POIs, weapons, and items.
One of the most beloved equipment making a comeback is the Launch Pad, a legendary item that can radically alter the course of a match. The Launch Pad is more than simply a method of movement; it’s also a strategic tool that allows players to reposition themselves, avoid danger, or gain an advantage in combat.
Whether you’re a veteran or a rookie in OG mode, knowing where to find a Launch Pad and how to use it successfully might mean the difference between a Victory Royale and early elimination.
How to get Launch Pad in Fortnite OG mode
Finding a Launch Pad in Fortnite OG mode involves some luck, as it is categorized as an epic item and so appears infrequently. However, recognizing its probable spawn places can significantly improve your odds of obtaining one.
Chests are a common source, but they can also be found as floor loot in some areas. Supply drops are another viable method of securing a Launch Pad. They drop randomly around the map and contain valuable loot, including legendary items.
Finally, Supply Llamas occasionally carry Launch Pads, however, they are scarce and scattered randomly around the island. If you want to find one, you must be patient and thorough to open it and claim the Launch Pad.
Once you find it, place it on a floor build whenever feasible to increase your traversal. If you’re rotating to avoid the storm, make sure you land in an open area away from opponents. When using it in combat, place the Launch Pad just out of sight to take your opponents off surprise.
But keep in mind you won’t be able to find or use the Launch Pad in Zero Build mode since it’s only available in Build lobbies. Use the pad to either grab a dub or complete OG quests to get free XP.
