With many weapon types to choose from in Throne and Liberty, it’s easy to get overwhelmed when attempting to create a build. After all, you need to focus on your passives, active skills, and masteries. It can be a lot to take in if you aren’t used to MMOs.

One of the many weapons you can choose from is the crossbow and you can make a great build with it. When choosing the crossbow, it is best to stick with daggers or a bow as your backup.

Crossbow and bow build

Utilising a combination of the cross and bow in Throne and Liberty will help you stay mobile while you fight foes. Thanks to this, you’ll easily be able to kite enemies and avoid attacks, keeping at a distance while you hammer them with attacks.

Active Skills

The following active skills are required for the build:

Active Skills	Effects
Zephyr’s Nock	Deals 320% of base damage. Damage 3% per one meter of distance from the target.
Ensnaring Arrow	Deals 130% of Base Damage with an 80% chance to bind the target. Targets immune to bind are oppressed for the same duration.
Decisive Sniping	Deals 550% of base damage. Increases ranged critical hit by up to 450 in proportion to the target’s remaining health.
Nature’s Blessing	Increases health regen by 530 for party members within 16 meters and then boosts it by 160% for four seconds.
Brutal Arrow	A single arrow shot into the sky falls to the target location, dealing damage equal to 380% of base damage to enemies within a three meter area.
Deadly Marker	Has a 90% chance to mark a target. Your magic, melee, and ranged critical hit increases as well as party member critical hit.
Quick Fire	Attack three times consecutively.
Nimble Leap	Move five meters towards the designated direction. Attack speed increases by 20% and range increases by 20%.
Mortal Mark	Deals 200% and has an 80% chance to weaken and mark the target.
Thorn Gale	For six seconds, a projectile attack fires an additional projectile, dealing damage equal to 29% of base damage.
Merciless Barrage	Shoot at the target location with both hands 16 times each. Arrows deal 27% base damage to the first enemy hit.
Mana Exchange	Consume 450 health to recover 390 mana.

Passive Skills

Choose the following passive abilities for the build:

Steady Aim	Against Bound and Oppressed targets, magic, melee, and ranged critical hit increased.
Sniper’s Sense	Magic, melee, and ranged critical hit increase per one meter of distance from target.
Roxie’s Arrowhead	Attacking with longbows or crossbows has a 5% chance to choose an additional projectile, dealing damage equal to 80% of base damage.
Eagle Vision	Magic and ranged hit increased per one meter of distance from the target.
Ambidexterity	Off-hand weapon max damage increased.
Piercing Strike	Bonus damage increased.
Nature’s Power	Upon using a mobility or movement skill, bonus damage increases.
Opportunist	One Weakening a target, all skill cooldowns decreased.

Mastery

For the mastery, you’ll want to focus on the Chain Fire branch for the crossbow. This branch of the mastery tree increases your skill damage and base damage, while also decreasing your cooldown speed. With your bow, you’ll want to focus on the Sniping branch of the mastery tree. This branch increases your ranged damage and ranged critical hit chance. It also increases your attack speed and base damage.

Weapons and armour

For the weapons and armour, you will want items that increase your ranged damage as well as your critical hit chance. Having both effects will heavily increase your ranged damage output.

How to run crossbow and bow build

It’s important to note that this build can be played casually where you can spam attacks but there are combos that work very well and will help the build when executed correctly. For starters, use Nimble Leap before Decisive Sniping to increase the damage output of the skill. Another great combination of skills to use is Binding Arrow, Rapid Leap, and Decisive Sniping. Using these skills in this order will pin an enemy down and weaken them before you increase your damage and let off a powerful shot.
