If you want to know what the Starfield Collector’s Edition contains, then you’ve come to the right place. Fans are gearing up for the arrival of Bethesda’s interplanetary adventure and what better way to celebrate its impending arrival than with a few themed goodies courtesy of the game’s premium offering.

Now that the Starfield release date is closer than ever, the hype surrounding the massive space saga is becoming increasingly palpable. So if the excitement has been enough to tempt you into purchasing the Collector’s Edition, then you’ll be able to find out more about it here.

Starfield Collector's Edition

Starfield Collector’s Edition contents

These are the following goodies you can receive by purchasing the Collector’s Edition:

  • Starfield base game (Digital download only)
  • Shattered Space story expansion (upon release)
  • 5 days early access
  • Constellation skin pack (includes Equinox Laser Rifle, Space Suit, Helmet, and Boost Pack)
  • Starfield Digital Artbook
  • Starfield Original Soundtrack
  • Starfield Chronomark Watch and Case
  • Credit Stick with Laser-Etched Game Code
  • Constellation Patch
  • Steelbook Display Case

Naturally, with this being Starfield’s premium variant, most of the content you can expect to come with it is highly exclusive. The themed Chronomark Watch and Case and the Credit Stick with Laser-Etched Game Code in particular stand out among the items listed above.

Starfield Collector’s Edition price

The Starfield Collector’s Edition will cost around $300 USD or your regional equivalent if you choose to buy it. Much like any other AAA game’s premium version, the obscene price tag is mainly due to the handful of exclusive collectibles that comes with it. This includes the themed watch and case, the credit stick with laser-etched game code, and immediate access to the game’s DLC once it drops as well.

Starfield Collector’s Edition pre order

If you decide to pre order the Starfield Collector’s Edition, then you’ll immediately be able to get these in-game items:

  • Old Mars skin pack, includes:
    • Laser Cutter
    • Deep Mining Helmet
    • Deep Mining Pack

It’s currently unclear whether this bundle gives players an added in-game advantage or if they’re merely cosmetic in nature. But since this is the only way of acquiring these accessories at the time of writing, then obtaining it will surely help you stand out among the denizens of the Settled Systems once the game drops.

Can you upgrade to the Starfield Collector’s Edition?

Unfortunately, if you’ve picked up a copy of the game whether that’s digital or physical, you’re not going to have the option to upgrade to the collector’s edition at any point. You would be able to upgrade from the Standard to Premium editions as the only add-ons are digital, though as the Starfield Collector’s Editions include physical items such as clothes patches, collectibles, and steel cases, you’re not going to be able to grab these separately.

Where to buy Starfield Collector’s Edition

You can buy the Starfield Collector’s Edition for the Xbox and PC through different retailers including GameStop, Best Buy, and Amazon. Unfortunately, it seems that the game’s premium version is now sold out almost everywhere as fans immediately started snapping these up as soon as Bethesda made them publicly available. The only place you can purchase it from now is through UK retailer GAME, where it’s being sold for £249.99.

Of course, there’s always a chance that the Collector’s Edition gets restocked in the near future. But with the game’s launch date nearly here, you may be better off opting for either the Standard or Deluxe Editions instead. If you really want to get your hands on it, though, you can always turn to sites like eBay. However, you will have to shell out more money than usual to buy it since it’s already being resold by another person.
