Is RoboCop: Rogue City coming to Nintendo Switch? If you’re looking forward to playing RoboCop: Rogue City, you may wonder whether Teyon’s RoboCop game will be available on Nintendo Switch, especially considering its presence on PS5 and Xbox consoles.

RoboCop: Rogue City is the first RoboCop game to come to home consoles since the 2003 RoboCop game on Xbox. You will play the titular character, Officer Alex Murphy, who becomes RoboCop after being gunned down by gang members during the events of the first film. The game is somewhat part of the official canon, taking place between the second and third RoboCop films.

For more RoboCop check our guides on the official release date, and whether Rogue City will come to Xbox Game Pass. Now, is RoboCop: Rogue City coming to Nintendo Switch?

Is RoboCop: Rogue City coming to Nintendo Switch?

No, RoboCop: Rogue City is not on Nintendo Switch. It also seems highly unlikely that the game will ever come to Nintendo Switch, simply because it is a game developed for current-gen PS5 and Xbox consoles. You can see the platforms available on the official website for RoboCop. At some point, a Switch version of the game was in the works, but Teyon cancelled it and hasn’t explained why.

On the other side of the coin, Rogue City won’t be available on Xbox One or PS4, and this is probably due to the power limitations of these older consoles. Obviously, this will be disappointing to hear if you’re a devoted Switch owner.

At the time of writing this, there are no announced ports or cloud streaming options for this game, but this is something that could well shift in the future. Nintendo’s handheld is able to play high-end games by using Cloud Streaming, and it could be the case this happens eventually for Rogue City.

Games to play on Switch like RoboCop: Rogue City

Since you won’t be able to play RoboCop: Rogue City on Nintendo consoles, you could try some of these alternatives that we highly recommend as FPS games to play instead:

  1. Metroid Prime.
  2. Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus.
  3. Crysis Trilogy.

All of these titles are sufficiently shooter-focused and have some of the grimy tech and futuristic aesthetic of RoboCop. Naturally, they are all very different games, but for FPS games on the Switch, these three could very well scratch that itch.
