What Does Iron Defense Do in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

The Iron Defense move increases your Pokémon’s Defense stat by two points, allowing it to stay on the battlefield longer. While this skill does not cause damage to the opponent, it can be useful in helping your Pokémon withstand attacks and outlast the enemy.

Iron Defense TM’s Location in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

The Iron Defense TM is located at different points throughout Paldea. There are three locations in total that you can pick one from.

1. East Province (Area One)

Once you reach East Province (Area One), take a stroll along the wall of the Great and make your way toward the cliff. If you keep your eyes peeled, you should be able to spot a yellow Pokéball containing the TM for Iron Defense.

2. East Province (Area Three)

To find the Iron Defense TM in East Province (Area Three), head to the Pokécenter in its Eastern side and look for a small quarry. You will find a hill with the Iron Defense TM in a flashing yellow Pokéball on the ground.

3. North Province (Area One)

One last location where you can find the Iron Defense TM is at the northeastern side of Glaseado Mountain. You will need to scale the rocky terrain that overlooks the sea to obtain it, and once you reach the top, you should be able to spot the TM, just waiting for you to pick it up. 

How To Craft Iron Defense TM In Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

After obtaining an Iron Defense TM, you can use a TM Machine at any Pokémon Center to create additional copies. This means you do not need to continue searching for more copies of the TM.

To craft a copy, you will require the following: 

• 1,500 League Points (LP)
• 3 Bronzor Fragment
• 3 Pineco Husk

You will not be limited on the number of times you can craft a TM, so make sure to equip Iron Defense on a bunch of your Pokémon!
