How to catch Zapdos in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet The Indigo Disk DLC
For starters, Zapdos is a Pokemon Violet exclusive legendary. This means that you won’t be able to catch it in Pokemon Scarlet unless you join a friend who has the opposite game. With that being said, you can catch Zapdos after completing 10 Blueberry Quests (BBQs) at Blueberry Academy. Talk to Mr. Snacksworth and he will give you the Zapdos Treat. He will also tell you a story about where to find Zapdos.

Zapdos Location in Pokemon Indigo Disk
Mr. Snacksworth will tell you that he met Zapdos at the top of a lighthouse that can look over the city. While you might think this would be the Levincia Lighthouse it is actually the Poco Path Lighthouse. This is the lighthouse from the beginning of the base game near Cabo Poco.
How to catch Zapdos
Zapdos isn’t a very strong opponent. You will fight this legendary Pokémon at the top of the lighthouse. Interact with it to start the fight. We recommend bringing a ground-type Pokemon like Golurk into battle since none of Zapdos’ moves will affect it. This will trivialize the fight, allowing you to easily whittle down Zapdos’ health.
Be sure to inflict status effects during the fight and use Fury Swipes to avoid fainting Zapdos. Once it is low enough on health, throw a few Poke Balls until you catch it.
Pay attention to type advantages
Since Zapdos is an electric-type Pokemon, its moves generally don’t affect ground-type Pokemon. Zapdoes is weak to ice-type and rock-type moves, making ground-type Pokemon the best to use.
