How to increase your population in Pioneers of Pagonia
To increase your population in Pioneers of Pagonia, build cottages or residences and provide basic amenities in close proximity, namely a Tavern, to produce comfort meals for your Pagonians. Once the comfort meal score is high enough, residents will birth new workers. Here’s what’s needed:
- Place down a Tavern.
- Build cottages or residences in the Tavern’s capture zone, which is represented by a circle when you click on the Tavern.
- Build four Tavern Tables in that same zone.
- Build a Market Fountain in the Tavern’s zone.
- Build six Market Stalls in the vicinity of the Tavern and the Market Fountain.
Meet these criteria and the Tavern will take ingredients from the stalls and produce comfort meals (for carriers) and nutritious meals (for miners). Wait a while and the cottages/residences will start producing new Pagonians for you. This isn’t indefinite though and once the homes are filled (cottages are capped at 10 citizens, while residences at 25), a yellow flag will pop up on the Tavern telling you that the homes are full.
Speed up in-game time
You can speed up the in-game time by clicking on the + and – keys just above the mini-map in the left-hand bottom corner of the screen.
Make sure you also have a robust food economy set up to fuel the stalls with the food required to make comfort meals and nutritious meals, including these buildings:
- A Hunting Lodge for rabbit meat, deer meat, or boar meat.
- A Forager’s Hut for berries and mushrooms
- A Vegetable Farm for Pumpkin and Cabbage
- A Crop Farm, Windmill, and Bakery to turn wheat in flour and then bread.
If you still need to increase your population in Pioneers of Pagonia, simply repeat the process in another spot on the map.
