In the final few predefined maps in Pioneers of Pagonia, you’ll encounter two new foes, werewolves and spectres. Dealing with them can be tough as they are more or less immune to standard soldiers. Spectres won’t kill your soldiers, but will strip them of their armour and weapons, which can get costly very quickly, while any soldiers infected by werewolves transform into werewolves themselves.
We’ll explain how to defeat werewolves and spectres in Pioneers of Pagonia below. For more help in Envision’s Early Access city builder, check out how to extend your territory, how to increase population, and if you haven’t already check out our review for our thoughts on Pioneers of Pagonia.

How to kill werewolves and spectres in Pioneers of Pagonia
To kill werewolves and spectres in Pioneers of Pagonia, train Fearnaughts then set their patrol point near an enemy camp. Each Fearnaught costs one Silver Blade and one Light Armor. Silver Blades re made at the Weaponsmith using one Coal and one Silver Bar each, while Light Armor is produced at the Tailor’s Shop for one Leather and one Cloth.
Fearnaught or Heroic Fearnaught?
Though the Heroic Fearnaught is a better fighter, you’ll need to produce a Magic Blade for each soldier, which requires an Artisan Blacksmith and Rubies, which are only available by trading with neighbouring villages in the current Early Access build. Instead, focus on producing a larger army of standard Fearnaughts.

For werewolves, you’ll want to amass an army of at least 50 Fearnaughts before attacking, otherwise you risk making the problem worse when dead soldiers turn in werewolves, increasing their numbers. Two garrisons full of Fearnaughts should do the job, especially if you make sure as few villages as possible get killed by any werewolves while you’re producing Fearnaughts.
If the werewolves situation gets out of hand, then rely on numbers. In one of our playthroughs, we successfully took out a massive werewolf camp with about 50 or so enemies by sending in 200 Fearnaughts.
