NHL 24 Community Playtest release date

The official release date of the NHL 24 Community Playtest was August 21, 2023. EA Sport made this announcement on their NHL Twitter page yesterday at 2PM EST / 7PM GMT, commencing the ever-important play trial period that several fans have been eager to dig into.

The community playtest was revealed on August 11, leaving fans 10 days to sign up for the important beta period. EA Sports has yet to reveal how long the playtest period will run for. However, seeing it just went live today, we are anticipating that it will run for at least the next two weeks.

For those that didn’t get a chance to sign up yet or might have missed it and still want to participate, you still can. Down below we highlight how to do so and where you can sign up for the trial period.

For those that might have missed the NHL 24 Community Playtest announcement, you can still sign up. As soon as you visit the EA NHL 24 Community Playtest site, scroll to the bottom of the page and there you will see a ‘Sign In To EA Playtesting’ tab to click on. Upon doing so, you will then have to complete a small survey before you can submit your request.

Once you sign up, there’s a chance you will receive a community playtest code but there’s no guarantees, particularly since it’s already underway. That said, NHL 24 is also handing out codes on Twitter, so it’s not too late to still get one, whether it’s through the sign up or via social media.

Be sure to keep in mind that if you do partake in the technical test, you cannot capture, produce, distribute, or publish any of the NHL 24 content you’re getting a sneak preview of on social media or elsewhere. This is a special opportunity for fans to get a taste of what the new game will offer, but it is by no means a free invitation to leak any information that should not be shared at this time.
